Movie Screening Invictus

Join American Corner Innovate Durban for a free screening of Invictus, the acclaimed film based on the remarkable true story of how Nelson Mandela inspired a divided nation to unite through the 1995 Rugby World Cup.

As part of our Mandela Month commemorations and the celebration of 50 Years of American Excellence, this special event invites attendees to reflect on the values of leadership, reconciliation, resilience, and nation building. Starring Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela and Matt Damon as François Pienaar, Invictus offers a compelling portrayal of the power of sport to bring people together.

The screening will take place on 7 July 2025 from 13:00 to 15:00 at American Corner Innovate Durban.

Admission is free, and popcorn and cool drinks will be served.
